We’re looking for a skilled and hands-on Team Lead Accounting (m/f/d) to join one of the companies in the A11 ecosystem and take ownership of all accounting and financial operations—ranging from managing a growing finance team to delivering accurate reporting and driving financial decision-making in a fast-paced international environment.

As a Team Lead Accounting, you’ll play a key role in keeping the financial engine running smoothly, from preparing financial statements to managing accounts receivable and supporting internal stakeholders on finance topics.

In this role, you’ll:

• Lead and manage the core accounting team of 2 professionals
• Manage day-to-day (preparatory) bookkeeping
• Support in the preparation of monthly-, quarterly- and annual financial statements as well as internal reporting according to HGB and IFRS
• Prepare and analyze monthly expenses related to material and logistic costs, identifying variances and ensuring accuracy in reporting
• Collaborate with and support other internal departments and the board of management on tax and financial accounting issues and projects
• Lead accounts receivable processes, including responding to external inquiries and managing the dunning process to ensure timely collections
• Liaise with our external accountancy firm
• Support on finance initiatives to support and the management in an international environment

Your Profile: 

• Relevant experience in an audit firm (Big Four or mid-tier a plus) and / or experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance or similar field  
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a focus on finance/accounting or comparable qualification
• Sound knowledge of IFRS as well as HGB
• Advanced Excel skills
• You have strong communication skills and are fluent in German and English
• You have strong organizational skills and keep a cool head even in stressful situations
• You have familiarity and comfort with financial, accounting and business systems software, especially, DATEV, DUO (DATEV Unternehmen Online); experience with Expense management solutions as well as Salesforce is a plus
