Accounting Associate

Position Summary 

The incumbent supports the Finance Department (Chief Financial Officer, Controller, Accountant, Accounting Associate).




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Concur processing, including extracting invoices and data from Concur to Sage Intacct, maintaining vendor records, and reviewing invoices for accuracy prior to processing.
  • Research internal/external Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable inquires upon staff request and provide reports as needed.
  • Support the Accountant with reconciling accounts payable and intercompany transactions.
  • Support the Controller with quarterly lobbying reports.
  • Generate Concur reports for the CFO and create meeting slides as needed.
  • Assist with Tax, 1099 filings, and audit preparation.
  • Facilitate Solver and Concur training for internal staff.
  • Assist with managing incoming checks and cash for deposit.
  • Record daily bank activity.
  • Record credit card payments.
  • Research and provide journal entry reclassifications to Accountant.
  • Maintain electronic records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION:

  • Associate or higher degree, preferably in Accounting, or equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE:

  • Two or more years in a similar capacity


REQUIRED SKILLS:


  • Proven ability to work accurately and meet deadline
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred knowledge and experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Sage Intacct, and Concur
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Skilled in multitasking

Salary

Salary: $65,000 per year (based on experience)
