Salaried, full-time

Job Overview

About the role

The Programs Manager will own the day-to-day execution of high-volume talent programs designed to move large numbers of candidates into and through the pipeline.

This role sits at the intersection of:

  • Program Management (cohorts, events, development experiences)
  • Talent Support (working closely with recruiting and talent teams)
  • Partnerships & Market Relationships (schools, organizations, associations)

You’re the person who makes sure the ideas become reality: applications go live, cohorts feel organized, partners are engaged, and candidates have a clear, development-focused experience from first touch to program completion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Planning & Execution

  • Support end-to-end delivery of high-volume talent and professional development programs (internships, fellowships, training series, talent prep, etc.).
  • Coordinate timelines, milestones, communications, and deliverables for each cohort.
  • Manage logistics for development sessions: applications, info sessions, workshops, coaching days, and program wrap-ups.
  • Ensure each cohort has a clear structure, learning outcomes, and communication plan.

2. Talent Team Partnership

  • Work hand-in-hand with the Talent & Programs Director and recruiting team on strategic talent initiatives.
  • Align program timelines with recruiting cycles and partner hiring needs.
  • Support candidate flow as needed (e.g., scheduling, workshop invites, follow-ups, interview coordination).
  • Help translate program completion into pipeline readiness (participants leaving with skills, awareness, and next steps).

3. Market & Relationship Building

  • Build and nurture relationships with schools, community organizations, associations, and affinity groups that align with program and talent goals.
  • Coordinate outreach to career services, student orgs, and professional networks to drive applications and attendance at development programs.
  • Represent the programs in external meetings, info sessions, and occasional events.
  • Maintain a simple partner/contact list and outreach tracker.

4. Program Operations, Experience & Development Content Support

  • Own the overall participant experience—from onboarding through completion—ensuring clear expectations and meaningful engagement.
  • Maintain program materials (agendas, decks, guides, FAQs, reflection forms) for career readiness and professional development topics.
  • Coordinate facilitators, speakers, and partners for panels, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Work with creative/marketing partners to ensure program assets are up-to-date and on-brand.

5. Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Track key program metrics: applications, attendance, completions, and basic conversion indicators.
  • Provide regular updates to the Talent & Programs Director on program health, risks, and wins.
  • Gather feedback from participants and partners and propose improvements to content, flow, and experience.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in program management, workforce development, learning & development, or similar roles.
  • Experience working with or alongside talent/recruiting teams on initiatives, events, or pipelines.
  • Proven experience supporting high-volume programs (education, internships, fellowships, training or career development programs) from planning through execution.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable facilitating or hosting sessions.

Preferred:

  • Experience designing, coordinating, or supporting professional development or career readiness programs (workshops, bootcamps, speaker series, etc.).
  • Experience in a start-up or high-growth environment (comfortable with ambiguity and building while executing).
  • Relationships or past experience collaborating with schools, universities, nonprofits, associations, or community groups.
  • Background in workforce development, early-career talent, or community-based training programs.

Strengths & Working Style

  • You’re a doer: you like plans, agendas, and seeing development experiences come to life.
  • Detail-oriented but not easily overwhelmed by volume.
  • Comfortable talking with students, candidates, partners, and internal teams in the same day.
  • Calm under pressure, able to keep programs on track and experiences intentional even when things shift.
