The Procurement Analyst II (Sourcing Manager)) is part of Protective’s Procurement function and is responsible for leading sourcing and contracting activities for goods and services across the enterprise. This role partners closely with business, legal, finance, and risk stakeholders to deliver value through effective procurement practices while managing commercial, operational, and compliance risk.
The Procurement Analyst II (Sourcing Manager) owns procurement activities across the full lifecycle—from requirements definition through supplier selection and contract execution—ensuring sourcing decisions align with business objectives, cost targets, and enterprise procurement standards. Although an individual contributor role, this position exercises significant influence and independently leads complex, cross-functional sourcing initiatives that impact Protective’s cost structure and risk posture.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities, including requirements clarification, sourcing strategy development, supplier selection, negotiation, contract award, and transition to post-award oversight.
- Act as a trusted procurement partner to business stakeholders by translating business needs into effective sourcing approaches and supplier recommendations.
- Develop sourcing and contracting strategies that balance cost, value, risk, performance, and compliance considerations.
- Lead RFx initiatives for assigned categories and projects, including documentation development, evaluation criteria, supplier evaluation, and award recommendations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing decisions are aligned with procurement policy.
- Lead commercial negotiations in collaboration with Legal and Finance to achieve favorable pricing and terms.
- Ensure supplier due diligence, risk assessments, and onboarding requirements are completed prior to contract execution.
- Support acquisition and growth initiatives, procurement transformation, and cost management efforts.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; CPSM and/or CRVPM preferred.
- Five or more years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or related disciplines.
- Proven negotiation, influence, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP, procurement, and contract lifecycle management systems preferred.
- Strong commitment to integrity, quality, and continuous professional development.
