Who are you? 

  • You are available for a temporary fixed-term contract of nine months (November ‘25 till July ‘26) and 30-37,5 hours per week.

  • You have excellent command of the English and French language both verbally and in writing.

  • You have proven experience in quickly adapting to an existing portfolio of tasks taking ownership from the start.

  • You have work experience in administration or project support.  

  • You are an enthusiastic and communicative professional with a can-do and hands-on mentality.

  • You have a global-mindset and thrive in an ambitious work environment with respect for diversity.  

  • You fit well within a volunteer organisation and you have an interest in SMEs and development cooperation.       

  • You are based in the Netherlands. 

 

Being a Project Officer 

Together with the country manager and the representatives, you will manage and support the day-to-day operational processes. Ensuring that our experts can travel to our clients and carry out successful advice projects - on location or remote. In this diverse role your activities will mainly focus on the countries Morocco, C’ôte d’Ivoire and Senegal. This temporary position is very suitable for someone who can quickly adapt and thrive in a culturally diverse team. The country manager may live in the Netherlands or in one of the countries PUM is active in. The representatives always live in the countries where the projects are located. This ensures that you will be in daily contact with colleagues around the world! The following tasks will be your responsibility:    

  • Planning and organising travel itineraries and visas, together with the travel and visa agencies.  

  • Ensuring that all project documents are updated and completed in the digital systems.    

  • Providing (administrative and organisational) support during the whole process from application to execution of projects.  

  • Participating in meetings as a member of the country team (once a year on location in “your” country) to help make strategic decisions.   

  • Driving the execution and implementation of the country impact plans (CIP’s), together with your country team(s).

 

Ins and outs of the role of Project Officer 

The Project Officer position offers a competitive salary between the range of € 3.056,-  and € 4.507,- , depending on the experience you bring. We provide numerous perks, including an 8% holiday allowance, a 13th-month bonus, 'working-from-home' and commuting allowances, 28 days of holiday, a pension plan, a training budget, a weekly boot camp, and more.
