Job Overview

We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.

This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.

THE ROLE

You will be the dedicated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Lead for the APJ region, driving compliance and a proactive safety culture across multiple countries. This mission-critical role involves translating global EHS programs into local, country-specific actions, ensuring all Pure Storage operations adhere to evolving local legislation. You will be the central EHS point of contact, collaborating closely with regional functions like HR, Legal, and Facilities to maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace for all employees.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Establish and maintain regional compliance: Monitor and interpret updates to local EHS legislation across APAC/APJ, utilizing the available Legal register to ensure all Pure Storage facilities and operations are in full compliance with mandated local requirements.

  • Implement and harmonize EHS Global Programs: Lead the execution of the global EHS and Ergonomic programs across all regional sites, working with Office Managers and regional teams to adapt and deploy standardized processes and documentation (e.g., Risk Assessments, Emergency Plans).

  • Drive incident management and safety excellence: Ensure the regional Incident Reporting process is strictly followed for all work-related injuries or illnesses, including leading and documenting comprehensive root cause analyses to implement effective corrective actions and lessons learned.

  • Provide EHS oversight and assurance: Conduct and track site inspections and participate in EHS audits to verify that EHS documentation is complete and updated, monitoring day-to-day site activities and resolving reported EHS and Ergonomic non-conformities.

  • Lead regional EHS communication and training: Prepare, perform, and lead regional EHS meetings and presentations, creating and updating KPIs, overviews, and graphics to communicate EHS performance and maintain the EHS Training Matrix.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Regional EHS Expertise: Proven ability to manage EHS compliance and programs across diverse countries within the APAC/APJ region, with a deep understanding of local regulatory frameworks outside of a single country (e.g., multinational exposure).

  • Safety Program Execution: Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining core safety programs, including risk assessment, incident investigation/root cause analysis, emergency response, and site inspection protocols.

  • Documentation and Auditing Skills: Strong capability in verifying, updating, and maintaining formal EHS documentation, and participating in internal or external EHS audits to ensure organizational health and safety.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence: Exceptional relationship-building skills to proactively engage and cooperate with non-EHS stakeholders (HR, Legal, Facilities) to drive and execute required EHS actions and embed safety culture.

  • EHS Professional Certification: An applicable Safety Certification or educational background in Environmental, Health, or Safety is essential for this role.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
