Manufacturing Process Engineer

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will identify, evaluate, and initiate continuous improvement processes related to Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) functions in a manufacturing environment. Collaborate and work with plant production and support groups to ensure a standard of consistency, accountability, and sound decision-making for production, profitability control, machine maintenance and preventative programs, R&D initiatives, and compliance requirements.
Essential Functions/Responsibilites
- Partner with cross-functional teams to apply lean principles and CNC expertise to improve manufacturing processes and support new product launches.
- Develop, validate, and maintain CNC programs, fixtures, and manufacturing methods; support first production runs and fine-tune processes as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement by standardizing processes, reducing cycle times, increasing throughput, and lowering costs on high-volume parts.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, identify inefficiencies, and work with Engineering and Operations to improve profitability and hit cost targets.
- Support preventive maintenance efforts to keep equipment reliable and minimize production downtime.
- Collaborate with Engineering on R&D and prototype builds, helping transition new designs into stable, repeatable production.
- Support ISO 9001, EHS, and quality requirements by maintaining accurate documentation, following standard processes, and participating in audits.
- Ensure inspection processes, calibrations, and certifications are completed accurately to meet quality and customer requirements.
- Assist with work instructions, fixtures, RMAs, supplier inspection records, and other production documentation as needed.
