Land Scout - Portugal (all genders)

Join our team as a Land Scout (all genders) in Porto, where you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our Business Plan (BP) objectives in regards of securing the land needed for renewables projects and the easements for the grid infrastructure, contributing to the successful delivery of the company's renewable energy pipeline in Portugal.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Market Research: 
• Identify and analyze available land that meets project requirements
• Analyze geospatial data using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools
• Property Evaluation:
• Assess the feasibility of sites, taking into account factors such as location, price, and local regulations
• Conduct topographic surveys to obtain accurate property data
• Negotiation Skills:
• Negotiate with landowners and real estate agents for the acquisition of properties
• Communicate with property owners, companies, and institutions to clarify cadastral information 
• Documentation Management:
• Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for land acquisition, including contracts and certificates.
• Prepare technical documents such as plans, sketches, thematic maps, and reports
• Organize and manage cadastral databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
• Work alongside engineers, and other professionals on development projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Forestry, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science or Law
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the purchasing and sale of real estate (rustic or urban)
• Proven experience in the renewable energy sector is preferred, particularly in land acquisition and management 
• Proven ability in legal aspects of contracting
• Exceptional organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in both English and Portuguese is required; knowledge of any additional language is an advantage
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel
