Qiddiya Investment Company is on the lookout for a visionary Development Director to lead the development of cutting-edge museums that showcase art, culture, and heritage while supporting Qiddiya's ambition as a global entertainment hub. This role is crucial in creating engaging spaces that inspire visitors and enrich the community.
The ideal candidate will oversee all phases of museum project development, from inception to realization, working closely with various teams to ensure a seamless and impactful execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and development of museum projects within Qiddiya, integrating narrative and cultural insights into the design process.
- Collaborate with architects, curators, and designers to create compelling and interactive exhibits that reflect local and global heritage.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends and community interests that inform the design and programming of the museums.
- Ensure all development projects adhere to budgetary guidelines and are completed on schedule, maintaining high-quality standards throughout.
- Engage with local and international stakeholders, including cultural organizations and community groups, to cultivate support and collaboration.
- Oversee compliance with safety, accessibility, and environmental regulations in the development and operation of museum facilities.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the executive team to keep them informed of project status, challenges, and achievements.
- Encourage and implement innovative ideas that enhance visitor engagement and educational experiences within the museums.
- Establish and maintain relationships with sponsors and funding organizations to secure financial support for museum initiatives.
- Stay current with museum and exhibit design trends to continuously enhance the quality and appeal of the facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Real estate Development, Museum Studies, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- At least 10-12 years of experience in senior leadership roles within Development of cultural assets, particularly in museum development or similar environments.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional communication and networking skills for stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
- Ability to analyze data and trends to inform decision-making in project development.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and regulations applicable to museum development.
