You will be working closely with stakeholders from the Certification, System Test Engineering, Flight Testing departments to ensure project optimal aerodynamic performance, structural integrity, and propulsion efficiency, while maintaining compliance with aerospace and defense standards.
What is your Day to Day Mission:
Define and manage airframe and propulsion system requirements, ensuring traceability throughout the lifecycle.
Preparation of technical documentation for systems/subsystems (e.g. specifications, integration and test plans, test specifications for integration and acceptance tests, design descriptions).
Ensure clarity and consistency in documentation for global teams and certification authorities.
Perform trade studies for materials, structural configurations, and propulsion technologies considering weight, performance, safety, and reliability.
Ensuring compliance with development and production processes (system) for airframe and propulsion systems.
Support structural analysis (FEM), aerodynamic simulations (CFD), and propulsion performance modeling.
Collaborate with certification teams to meet standards and guidelines such as ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-160, (EU) 2019/945 and its EN 4709 series, MIL-STD-810, and relevant STANAGs 4703, 4671, 4370, 4866, 4867 and 4868.
Act as a technical liaison between airframe designers, propulsion engineers, and external suppliers.
Oversee integration of propulsion systems (electric or hybrid) into UAS platforms.
Support environmental qualifications (temperature, vibration, EMI/EMC) and flight testing for airframe and propulsion systems.
