Job Overview

JOB SUMMARY  

 

​​Role and Responsibilities 

The candidate will support the fulfillment of a portfolio of technical asset management contracts for solar renewable energy projects, provide engineering consulting services, and support the Portfolio Management, Onboarding and Technical Asset Management teams.  

 

  • Fulfill technical requirements of the Asset Management contracts:  

 

  • Track and verify Operations & Maintenance (O&M) provider’s response to equipment outages and performance deficiencies, review monthly O&M provider reports 
  • Manage and maintain tickets reflecting Operations and Maintenance issues; monitor site performance 
  • Identify equipment issues and project underperformance 
  • Maintain Radian’s internal software database, Lens, for tracking physical characteristics of the asset, communications, and data integrity 
  • Track emergency weather events  
  • Review and correct project data for monthly client reports 
  • Track Performance and Availability Guarantees and work with O&M provider to address anomalies  
  • Provide feedback to Technical Lead and Portfolio Manager on O&M performance and field operations 

 

  • Assist with Technical Onboarding of new solar sites including reviewing drawings and identifying assets, creation of asset hierarchy, mapping of data against assets, and review and evaluation of incoming data. 
  • Document and provide feedback on procedures for process improvement.  
  • Drive resolution of straight forward problems. Assist team with problem resolution of larger scope problems. 
  • Support Team Initiatives 

Required Qualification & Education 

  • 0-2 years experience in renewable energy performance field 
  • Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills 
  • University Degree  

Required Skills & Competencies 

  • Oral and written communication skills 
  • Planning and organization of work 
  • Data analysis and reporting 
  • Able to work as part of a team 

Required Software Knowledge 

  • Expertise in MS Office MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF toolsets 
  • Familiarity with databases. 

Preferred Experience 

  • PV plant performance analysis 
  • Familiarity with module/inverter/tracking system technology 
  • Electrical and solar equipment testing procedures 
  • Experience with a U.S. based company 

Preferred Skills & Competencies 

  • Solar industry best practices 
  • Energy storage concepts 
  • Power generation concepts 
  • Root cause analysis and problem solving skills 
  • Communication skills with the ability to distill information and present it in an understandable manner.
