Software Engineer (AI / MVP / Startup)

About the role

At Red Sky, we build and validate new technology startups.
Instead of spending months planning, we design, prototype, and launch products quickly, testing them with real users and market. Our MVP team works on multiple startup ideas simultaneously - from early prototypes to production-ready products.

Most engineering roles focus on maintaining existing systems. You will be part of the venture-building process, not just software development.

This role is about:

• building new products from zero

• working on multiple startup ideas

• collaborating directly with product builders and founders

• shaping early-stage technology decisions
  

Your responsibilities

You will work with MVP team to transform startup ideas into working software. Your role is to ensure that fast prototypes evolve into stable, scalable software. We use modern AI tools to accelerate development. However, this role is not about blindly relying on AI-generated code.

This includes:

• designing clean and maintainable architecture

• developing a framework for products at various stages of development

• building prototypes for new startup ideas

• turning demos into real applications

• developing production-ready AI-powered products

• reviewing and improving AI-generated code

• supporting multiple Red Sky ventures technically

• ensuring code quality, architecture, and reliability

Who we are looking for (must-have)

• Have solid experience building software 

• Be comfortable reviewing and improving AI-generated code

• Care about clean code, architecture, and reliability

• Enjoy building products from scratch

• Be comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment

• Experience with AI tools is a plus, but strong engineering fundamentals are essential.
  

Tech stack

Core knowledge

• Node.js (TypeScript), Python

• Different API building approaches: REST/GraphQL their strengths and weaknesses, experience with OpenAPI besides creating docs

Data & retrieval

• Relational DBs: PostgreSQL / MySQL

• Vector stores & RAG pipeline (embeddings → retrieval → context)

• Experience in architecting and securing SaaS type databases like Supabase

Infra, containers & CI/CD

• Cloud: AWS / GCP (managed services)

• Containers & orchestration: Docker / k8s; CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform)

LLM + safety & quality

• LLM integrations, LangGraph / PydanticAI, memory (short/long), prompt/context engineering

• Safety: hallucination mitigation, prompt injection defenses, output validation, QA for LLMs

• Building agentic solutions, where multiple agents cooperate with each other
