Red Wing Shoes is seeking a Director of Key Accounts to join our North America Wholesale Department. This role is accountable for leading and expanding Red Wing’s most strategic wholesale partnerships. This position serves as responsible for long‑term growth planning, sell‑in/sell‑through performance, and cross‑functional alignment. The Director will drive strategy across the wholesale channels, ensuring Red Wing’s brand presence and profitability goals are achieved. This leader oversees and develops a team of Key Account Managers, overseeing effective execution of the strategies in the field and attainment of revenue and profitability goals.
Essential Duties include:
Provide insights on the needs of the business to the Managing Director of North America Wholesale and participates in the development of sales strategies for the North America wholesale team in support of corporate strategies
Directs and manages the process to acquire new key accounts and grow existing business in order to drive revenue and ensure customer satisfaction
Work cross functionally to deploy and enable adoption of processes, tools and training in support of Wholesale strategies; ensures sales team is leveraging sales methodology, and effectively manage sales pipeline
Collaborate with Product Creation and Marketing in the development of product and marketing in support of wholesale strategies
Leverage insights and analytics provided by Revenue Operations to determine appropriate resource deployment, pipeline management, team and program effectiveness, and future strategy development
Achieve financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Manage and grow existing account relationships to drive expansion and renewals
Expand account base by successfully moving new opportunities through sales pipeline
Manage assigned staff: provide clear goals and expectations; ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities; coach; manage performance; develop; salary administration; enforce systems, policies and procedures; recruit, select and onboard new employees
