What is The Role

Elastic, the Search AI company, is seeking a Renewals Manager to lead our growing team. This is a pivotal role within our customer success organization, focused on ensuring the continued partnership and satisfaction of our valued customers. You'll be instrumental in securing renewals, identifying expansion opportunities, and contributing directly to Elastic's sustained growth as we empower companies through cutting-edge search technology and analytics.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead a portfolio of customer accounts, proactively engaging to ensure timely and successful renewals of Elastic subscriptions.
  • Develop strong relationships with key customers and partners, understanding their evolving needs and demonstrating the continued value of Elastic's solutions.
  • Find opportunities for account expansion and collaborate with the sales team to facilitate upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex renewal discussions and customer challenges.
  • Accurately forecast renewal rates and advise senior leadership on account status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings on renewal performance, market trends, and team initiatives to leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams, including sales, customer success, and legal, to ensure a seamless renewal process and an exceptional customer experience.
  • Educate customers on new features, product updates, and how Elastic's AI-powered search solutions can further enhance their operations.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing leadership role, with a focus on renewals, account management, or sales for a SaaS subscription business.
  • Proven experience guiding and coaching a team to achieve goals.
  • Strong understanding of renewal processes and standard methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a role requiring exceptional presentation and briefing skills, with a strong history of synthesizing complex data and account status updates into concise, actionable insights for senior leadership, customer executives, and internal teams.
  • A meticulous approach to forecasting and data management, preferably with experience using SFDC.
  • Ability to independently manage a high volume of accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A passion for technology and a desire to understand how Elastic's solutions empower businesses.
  • Enthusiasm for the Open Source model and an appreciation for the community relying on our solutions.

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience in a renewals-specific role or as a leader in sales.
  • A strong growth mindset and experience with initiative-based tactics to drive business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Search, Log Analytics, Security, APM, or Cloud solutions.
  • Fluency in French or Dutch.
