Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to support our ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) team by accurately documenting clinical progress notes and entering data. The ideal candidate will have excellent written communication skills, a strong understanding of confidentiality standards, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate clinical documentation for clients and supporting the ongoing evaluation of treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter client data into the ABA software or electronic records system.
- Write clear, concise, and professional clinical progress notes based on therapy sessions.
- Summarize session outcomes, client behavior, and therapy progress for review by clinicians.
- Ensure all documentation complies with ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.
- Collaborate with RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians) and supervising clinicians to clarify session details as needed.
- Maintain organized records for easy retrieval and reporting.
- Follow established procedures to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
- Assist in generating reports for clinicians, supervisors, and insurance purposes.
- Identify and report inconsistencies or gaps in data to supervisors.
- Continuously improve documentation processes in line with organizational standards.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with ABA therapy terminology and clinical documentation preferred.
- Experience with data entry or medical/clinical documentation is a plus.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive client information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) or other data entry software.
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines consistently.
- Experience in writing progress notes/ session notes
