Warehouse Operations Associate - Landover, MD
Full Time - 40/hr per week!
The Warehouse Operations Associate plays a key role in supporting daily warehouse
activities that ensure efficient production and on-time customer installations. This position
is responsible for operating material-handling equipment, managing inbound and
outbound shipments, picking hardware and accessory items for daily jobs, and
maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
• Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load and unload trucks.
• Inspect inbound deliveries for accuracy, damage, and proper documentation.
• Prepare outbound shipments, including building pallets, securing materials, and
staging orders for carrier pickup.
• Create and process shipping labels (FedEx or similar) for small parcel customer
deliveries.
Order Fulfillment
• Pick inventory items, hardware, and accessories needed for daily production and
installation jobs.
• Verify accuracy of picked items to ensure installers and production teams receive
complete and correct materials.
• Assist with staging job kits or materials as required.
Inventory Management
• Restock shelves, maintain inventory bin locations, and perform cycle counts as
needed.
• Communicate shortages, discrepancies, or damaged goods to the Supply Chain
Manager.
• Help maintain accurate real-time inventory levels through proper scanning and
documentation.
Warehouse Organization & Safety
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
• Follow company safety guidelines, proper lifting techniques, and forklift safety
procedures.
• Dispose of packaging waste and ensure walkways, aisles, and racks remain clear.
General Support
• Assist with special projects, seasonal inventory reorganizations, or process
improvements.
• Collaborate with production, installation, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth
workflow.
Qualifications
• 1–3 years of warehouse, logistics, or material-handling experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work on feet for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory systems and shipping software.
