ALSO is looking for a Senior Battery Electronics Engineer to develop electronics systems for multiple micromobility platforms.
What You Will Do
Directly Responsible Individual for developing the electrical battery hardware, define hardware and software features and requirements.
Drive PCBA development spanning sub-system architecture, schematic capture and layout, design characterization, validation and production ramp.
Plan schedule, development steps, test resources and contract manufacturer EOL activities.
Perform simulation, analysis and validation of critical circuits. Perform the worst case circuit analysis and determine corresponding validation.
Collaborate with mechanical teams on packaging and thermals.
Collaborate with firmware and control teams on HW integration and control strategies.
Work with systems engineering to author and ratify product requirements including cost, performance, reliability, regulatory, etc.
Work with functional safety peers to identify critical diagnostics/protection circuits and deliver appropriate design implementations.
Compile DFMEA, PFMEA and validation plans.
Perform hands on integration and test activities combined with directing and collaborating with test peers and outside resources such as certification labs and contract manufacturers.
What You Will Bring
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years working in board level design of battery powered electrical systems.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a highly collaborative role.
Knowledge of BMS hardware/software features and safety concepts.
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits including microcontrollers and peripherals.
Proficiency with common simulation tools such as LT Spice.
Hands on experience with lab equipment and comfortable working with Li-ion batteries.
Experience delivering products to the market.
The salary for this position ranges from $160,000-$200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
