Department Overview
The Data Engineering team is the backbone of the company's data-driven ambitions. We ensure the seamless flow, integrity, and cost-effectiveness of data across the organization. Our mission is to collaborate closely with the BI, Machine Learning, AI Engineering and other departments to align our data solutions directly with business goals. By building and maintaining a state-of-the-art data platform, we empower the entire business to leverage data strategically, driving a significant competitive advantage.
Role Overview
This role is for a builder passionate about creating the data foundations that power a truly autonomous organization. This is an opportunity for an engineer who thrives on designing and owning the critical data services that drive everything from BI reporting to advanced AI systems. You will have the autonomy to design, build, and own the scalable data infrastructure and pipelines that will redefine how our business uses information. What we expect from you / the position to perform
As a Data Engineer, you will have end-to-end ownership of the data platform that underpins all analytics and data services. Your responsibilities will span the full lifecycle, from infrastructure design to operational excellence.
Owns the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and reliable data pipelines using our ETL system.
Owns the development and optimization of our analytical data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake), ensuring data models are efficient, scalable, and serve business needs.
Leads the implementation of data quality frameworks and best practices to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and trackability of our data assets across the entire stack.
Partners with the Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, and other engineering teams to understand their data requirements and deliver robust, effective data solutions.
Provides input to the broader data strategy and technology roadmap, proactively suggesting improvements and innovations to our data stack.
Supports the operational health of our data systems through proactive monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting.
What we look for / what we require
Required:
Foundational Experience: A strong background in data engineering or a similar role with proven proficiency and a track record of deploying high-quality code in production environments.
Core Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of SQL and extensive experience with analytical data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery or similar.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines and a firm grasp of ETL/ELT best practices.
Familiarity with version control using Git and project management.
Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred:
Cloud & DevOps Experience: Experience building and deploying solutions on a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Tooling Knowledge: Familiarity with modern data stack tools and business intelligence platforms like Tableau, Metabase.
Collaborative Skills: Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn new technologies and work collaboratively across teams to meet data requirements.
