MOBILE CRANE OPERATOR

At Rosebel Gold Mines, we are committed to responsible mining practices and ensuring safe and efficient operations. We are currently seeking a skilled Mobile Crane Operator to join our dynamic Mine Maintenance team. As a Mobile Crane Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining various types of cranes—including crawler, hydraulic, or Grove cranes—to lift, move, and position loads effectively and securely.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate crane controls (pedals, levers, and buttons) to regulate the speed and direction of crane and hoist movements according to instructions.

• Conduct regular inspections of cranes to identify defects or malfunctions and promptly report any issues to supervisors.

• Clean and maintain cranes and hoisting equipment to ensure they are operationally ready and safe to use.

• Estimate safe load capacities, taking into account weather conditions, crane specifications, and site conditions.

• Prepare lifting sites by placing appropriate equipment under outrigger pads, such as timber blocks or steel plates, to ensure stability.
