Junior Mine Geologist

As a Junior Mine Geologist in the Mine Technical Services department at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V., you will play a crucial role in supporting day-to-day geological activities in all active mining pits.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting, interpreting, and communicating geological data to optimize ore extraction

• Conducting daily ore control and production geology tasks

• Classifying and delineating ore and waste zones based on geological and grade data

• Monitoring and reporting on ore quality, dilution, and reconciliation data

• Collaborating with mine operations, survey, and planning teams for accurate production planning

• Ensuring timely and accurate sample collection and submission to the lab

• Participating in QA/QC procedures related to blast hole sampling and assay validation

• Maintaining and updating geological databases and software models

• Monitoring blast movement, ore loss, dilution, and misclassification with Blast movement technologies

• Assisting Mine Geologists with grade control drilling and validation data collection

• Contributing to safety and environmental compliance through field inspections and risk assessments
