Superintendent Camp Services

As the Superintendent General Services Camp at Rosebel Gold Mines, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Rosebel Camp. This includes the sections Administration, Camp, and Guest house accommodation, Kitchen, Laundry and Housing services, Commissary, Camp maintenance, and ground transportation. You will also be responsible for executing the long-term strategy for the operation of the camp, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and cost control.

Your duties will include:

• Lead and coordinate the execution of support services to improve current practices and performance.

• Manage the human, financial, and operational aspects of camp resources.

• Developing and executing the long-term strategy for the operation of the camp.

• Planning and budgeting for the camp's operations.

• Oversee the establishment of processes, policies, systems, and practices within General Services, which will maximize operational efficiency as well as a competitive advantage.

• Managing staffing and ensuring that the camp is adequately staffed. 

• Support continuous improvement projects.

• Ensuring that costs are controlled and that the camp operates within budget. 

• Determine strategies and key performance objectives (KPIs) and act as an advisor for direct reports.

• Delegate responsibilities and set realistic objectives to all HODs.

• Strengthen the skills of the team to improve performance and employability.

• Ensure that there is a general and effective succession management strategy.

• Implement processes, policies, systems, and practices within camp management that maximize operational efficiencies and competitive advantage.
