Physician

At Rosebel Gold Mines N.V., we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician to join our Medical department. As a Physician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to our employees and ensuring their well-being.

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of illnesses and injuries. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, as well as provide ongoing medical support and guidance to our employees.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Oversee and manage the administrative and operational activities of occupational medicine services.

• Responsible for assuring the appropriate access and utilization of healthcare services.

• Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of practice and consistent with clinical physician guidelines.

• Provide or manage the required physical evaluation programs and services to meet regulatory requirement; such as OSHA, Surinamese Laws, Niosh, etc.

• Provide appropriate case management to facilitate productivity, assuring appropriate care and return to work.

• Assess healthcare needs, then implement and manage healthcare programs to improve health and facilitate return to work, maintain records/ reports and worker medical files.

• Assist departments with identifying, evaluating, and implementing accommodations and return to work options for workers with restricted duty.

• Collaborate with Environmental, Health and Safety and Human Resources to develop operations, programs, and services by providing content expertise.
