Senior Mine Engineer

The Senior Mine Engineer oversees and manages key engineering and mining technology initiatives at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. The role aligns Mining Technology systems with Zijin Strategic Objectives and Corporate Governance standards, ensuring world-class mining practices. The position ensures compliance with ISO-14001 requirements and Zijin–RGM risk management policies through the effective application of recognized hardware, software, and practical mining solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Align Mining Technology systems with Zijin Strategic Objectives, Corporate Governance, ISO-14001, and RGM risk management standards.

• Ensure efficient operation of the mining dispatch system, delivering real-time production data and cost estimations.

• Lead training and knowledge transfer for supervisors, operators, and national employees on mining systems and technology.

• Develop optimized pit shells, detailed open pit designs, and conduct economic sensitivity analyses.

• Prepare and manage Life of Mine (LoM) schedules, incorporating geological models, operational, fleet, mill, and environmental constraints.

• Design and optimize Waste Rock Storage facilities, including backfilling and haulage efficiency strategies.
