Job Overview

The Mine Engineer coordinates activities related to mine design systems, programs, and processes, ensuring short- and long-term plans are aligned, production goals are achievable, and operations run efficiently and safely.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Independently prepare pit phase designs and short-term mine plans.

  • Integrate short-term plans into long-term LOM plans to avoid bottlenecks.

  • Analyze and interpret short-term plans to ensure alignment with operational objectives.

  • Prepare monthly and weekly plans by coordinating activities and adjusting approaches as needed.

  • Supervise daily survey work, drilling, and blasting to prioritize planning goals.

  • Monitor and control mining activities, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.

  • Prepare annual budgets and long-term plans with construction and operational schedules.

  • Respond to internal and external requests; keep up-to-date with trends and technologies in mine design.

  • Research and recommend process, technology, or methodology improvements.

  • Prepare technical manuals, reports, and communication materials.

  • Contribute to development of engineering policies and practices.

  • Design drill patterns based on operational parameters.

  • Conduct equipment studies to verify production targets.

  • Ensure pit designs are correctly implemented in the field.

  • Coordinate production surveying.
