Role Summary
Rowan Digital Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Director to serve as the Project Executive (PX) for a new market. The PX will lead the company’s engineering and construction planning and execution in support of our customer’s data center development needs in a new market. This role will report directly to Dan McNary, Rowan’s Chief Data Center Officer.
The optimal Project Executive is a well networked strategic and technical professional that will initially develop the delivery plan including a resource plan and then lead the execution delivering Rowan’s data center campus products, inclusive of the planning, engineering, construction delivery and commissioning in the market. PX activities include building a high performing Rowan Team, as well as the optimal set of partners that can support the execution across new markets. It will be critical that the PX collaborate with other Rowan functions including commercial, development, finance, facility operations and other core support functions.
Ultimately, the PX’s scope includes leading the team to maintain a safe worksite, developing the project plan, managing the project budget and schedule, meeting quality requirements, engaging with the community, and interfacing with customers to ensure Rowan delivers results that meet or exceed customer expectations. This role encompasses full responsibility for the planning, engineering, procurement, offsite construction, construction delivery, and commissioning of large-scale data center campuses.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% on various locations including overseas.

Compensation: $195-$240K (Offers Bonus)
Essential Responsibilities
Create and implement a strategic plan to achieve agreed-upon goals and objectives
Work with the commercial, development, entitlement and finance teams to build a comprehensive strategy for the delivery of engineering, construction and commission of data centers in specific markets, including identification of technical, commercial and financial risks and associated returns
Build a comprehensive team of Rowan team members necessary to execute the work
Lead a set of planning, architectural, engineering, construction execution and commissioning partners. Work with leadership and legal to develop commercial structures between partners and Rowan that best serve Rowan strategic goals for the market
Oversee the organization’s fiscal operating and capital budget and expenses
Ensure and guide the creation of a project plan, including work breakdown structure (WBS)
Oversee project planning, engineering, procurement and supervise project teams
See around corners and identify risks in real time
Coordinate with clients to ensure satisfaction and expectations
Follow performance metrics
Supervise project team through the project’s life cycle
Communicate with all stakeholders
Education, Skills, and Experience
15+ years of experience with large industrial projects that exceed $1.0 billion in capital expenditure on average in an EMEA market
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or related technical experience
Experience building new teams in new markets for engineering and/or construction/development organizations
Experience with the development of hyperscale data centers campuses in a new market
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and industry peers
Proven success in leading multidisciplinary integration strategies for large-scale or hyperscale projects
Demonstrated experience with modular construction and off-site fabrication methodologies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization
Track record of innovation and continuous improvement in technical delivery
