Job Overview

Are you creative, a self-starter and want to work as part of a high-performance in-house advertising team? Our Cape Town Marketing department is looking to add a Digital Designer to their team. We offer a dynamic environment in which you will be designing for a variety of business units including citizenship and immigration, wealth, tax and forex as well as studying and playing sports abroad.

Job Overview:

You will be working in close collaboration with an energetic, in-house marketing team, as well as 2 other designers and content writers.  The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in digital design preferably in an advertising agency, and a portfolio that showcases creativity and technical expertise across a variety of digital channels. You will work on a range of digital projects including social media content, email templates, Google display banners, online brochures and more.


Please note this is an on-site position in our offices in Kenilworth, Cape Town.

You’re perfect for this position if you:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communication, or a related field
  • Have 3 years of experience as a digital designer, preferably within an agency or in-house digital team
  • A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of digital design across a number of digital channels
  • Are proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (expertise with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects is essential, other products is a bonus)
  • Experience creating content and sponsored ads for social media platforms, with an understanding of platform-specific design nuances
  • Can create animations and GIFS for digital platforms
  • Can do video edits
  • Can take a design concept and execute across channels
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to internal stakeholders
  • Are flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Are organised, deadline-driven and able to manage your time effectively

 

Your role and responsibilities:

Among other tasks, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Working alongside members of the Marketing team in developing a dynamic design presence for each of the businesses in the Sable portfolio as well as the Group brand
  • Designing and developing visual assets for digital campaigns, including social media posts (FB/IG/Linkedin/TikTok), Google display banners, email templates, digital brochures, animated gifs, short videos, and more
  • Collaborating with other designers, copywriters, developers and business stakeholders
  • Upholding brand guidelines and ensuring design elements are cohesive across various digital touchpoints and maintaining the integrity of our Corporate Identity
  • Keeping abreast of the latest design trends, tools, and best practices, within the digital landscape
