Job Overview
- Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and workplace hazard assessments.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead employee safety orientation, OSHA training, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety education.
- Maintain OSHA logs, incident reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), risk assessments, and safety observations.
- Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with company safety standards.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce all safety policies.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, evacuation drills, and first aid readiness.
- Partner with Operations, HR, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve workplace safety and reduce operational risk.
- Track and report safety KPIs, including incident rates, corrective actions, and audit findings.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the organization's safety culture.
