Job Overview

As the Lighting Sales Coordinator, you will provide technical and commercial support to the Lighting Solutions Managers by preparing lighting proposals, quotations, and technical documentation, ensuring accurate project pricing and efficient client response.

Your role will ensure that services comply with standards, quality, and efficiency, while also identifying opportunities to improve performance and enhance the customer experience.

Main responsibilities within the job:

  • Prepare detailed quotations and costings for external lighting and technical service projects ensuring quotations meet margin targets and company commercial guidelines
  • Interpret lighting designs, drawings, and specifications
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical data
  • Keep all information up to date and accurate within CRM and ERP system, ensuring data accuracy on scheduling, and acknowledging of revenue into the business.
  • Support the wider sales team with technical product selection and compliance checks
  • Coordinate internally with operations, technical, and procurement teams
  • Work in partnership with the Lighting Solution Managers to ensure a collaborative and seamless approach to always deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Regularly inform your line manager on progress of area, status of key customers and opportunities to develop by reviewing performance reports and analysing data to provide feedback and put in place action plans to close gaps with SMART objectives.
  • Provide ongoing support throughout project handover to delivery teams

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience using D365 is desirable 
  • Excellent Communication - verbal and written with the ability to work with people at all levels.
  • Commercial and Financial acumen
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Experience in working in a dynamic sales / commercial environment.
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective time management and be accountable for resolving issues independently 
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Believes in continuous improvement.
  • The ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with both customers and internal / external stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach that delivers positive and sustainable results.
