About the Role

In the position of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, you will take on the responsibility of diagnosing and treating complex conditions related to the oral and maxillofacial regions. Your role will involve performing intricate surgical procedures, including wisdom tooth extractions, jaw surgeries, and facial reconstructive surgeries. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations, including medical and dental history assessments, to determine patient needs.
• Develop tailored treatment plans and execute surgical procedures to address oral and facial issues.
• Perform a variety of surgical interventions, including extractions, implants, corrective jaw surgeries, and trauma care.
• Diagnose and manage oral diseases, infections, trauma-related injuries, and structural deformities.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide patients with thorough post-operative care and follow-up assessments to ensure smooth recovery.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest advancements in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Requirements

• Medical degree (DMD or MD) with specialized training in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
• Substantial hands-on experience in performing oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
• Strong knowledge of surgical techniques, oral pathology, and patient management strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities for managing complex surgical cases.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a healthcare team.
