As a Consultant/Specialist Pediatric Dentist, your primary responsibilities will include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating dental issues specific to pediatric patients. You will formulate personalized treatment plans that cater to the individual needs of each child, while also implementing preventive measures that foster long-term dental health. Your role will involve educating parents and children on dental hygiene practices that promote healthier habits from an early age.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose dental conditions in children, providing effective treatment solutions.
- Create tailored treatment plans for pediatric patients that address their specific dental needs.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, and preventive services.
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants for preventive care.
- Educate children and parents on the importance of oral hygiene and healthy eating habits.
- Monitor the development of children's teeth and jaws to ensure optimal growth.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care to patients.
- Stay informed of advancements in pediatric dentistry through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree.
- Completed residency training in Pediatric Dentistry and board certification.
- Current and valid dental licensure to practice.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry with a proven track record of diagnosing and treating dental conditions in children.
- Extensive knowledge of dental procedures and treatment techniques specific to the pediatric population.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.
- Ability to foster a welcoming and comforting atmosphere for young patients.
