Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer - What will my responsibilities include?’

• Communicating effectively with customers, contractors or supplier representatives.
• Effectively working with other management, NPI and projects to achieve business requirements.
• Conduct Supplier Audits (Process and QMS)
• Conduct source inspection (Certification release and dimensional)
• Manage all aspects of supplier Non-conformance (Root cause analysis and Corrective action)
• Conduct and/or approve First Article Inspection Reports (to AS9102)
• Manage supplier KPIs
• Develop and review improvement plans with poor performing suppliers
• Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
• Assist with internal system Audits as part of the internal quality management system schedule.

Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer - What key skills and experience do I need?

• Must have the right to live and work in the UK (Essential)
• Experienced with AS9100, AS9102 & GS3001
• Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
• Good understanding of Special Process including (Heat treatment, Plating,)
• Experienced in Root Cause / Corrective Action 8D format
• Strong communication skills, both written a verbal, and have the confidence and ability to present to groups from all disciplines and levels
• Possess the necessary interpersonal skills that will enable engagement with all levels of the business.           
• To be able to take the initiative and where appropriate to work with the minimum of supervision.
• When required be part of the Internal Material Review Board, highlighting supplier issues when needed
• Self-motivated with excellent analytical, organizational, report writing and problem-solving skills
• Work to a high standard of accuracy
• Working across the supply base to reduce internal findings across Release certification.
