Job Overview

What Will You Do?

  • Obtain and maintain required Operator Authorization(s) for assigned equipment and processes.

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, method sheets, and written work instructions.

  • Analyze finish and dimensional requirements and determine the most effective deburring processes, including selecting appropriate equipment, media, and cycle times.

  • Operate a variety of manual and powered tools and equipment, including speed lathes, tumbling equipment, high-powered microscopes/scopes, drills, hand grinders, and other specialized deburring tools.

  • Use fixed and variable measuring equipment to verify part dimensions and surface finish requirements.

  • Troubleshoot processing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain quality and efficiency.

  • Apply specialized techniques to repair or salvage bellows subassemblies and assemblies when possible.

  • Recommend process improvements, equipment upgrades, and replacement tools to improve productivity and quality.

  • Assist in resolving technical questions and production issues within the department.

  • Support training and mentoring of other employees, sharing best practices and efficient use of equipment.
