Credit Clerk - Facey Commodity Company Limited

The Credit Officer is responsible for ensuring transactions are processed within the expectations outlined and in line with the credit policy of the company while delivering excellent service.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor email distribution for the department and ensure all requests are actioned/ updated within 24 hours.

2. Track customer payments and aid in the collection of payments within the set timeframes.

3. Contact customers regarding overdue invoices with an aim of collecting outstanding payments.

4. Ensure all salesmen receipt books are audited at least once monthly.

5. Promptly post payments to customer accounts.

6. Prepare reconciliations of customer accounts as needed.

7. Adhere to procedural manual and guidelines when carrying out duties.

8. Assist with updating receipts on customer’s accounts during month end close off.

9. Ensure accounts are current and up to date with credit notes, discounts etc. to facilitate speedy collection.

10. Observe and ensure observance of ALL policies and procedures relating to the Credit function.

11. Ensure overpayments posted via cash receipt batches are cleared within three days after posting.

12. Communicate with customers and Sales teams as required.

13. Prepare, maintain and submit reports as required.

Requirements

• Tertiary degree in Accounting, Business or related field
• Minimum three years working in a similar role
