About the Senior Web Developer role...
As a Senior Web Developer at SiteMinder, you’ll play a key role in delivering and maintaining our marketing websites — SiteMinder.com and LittleHotelier.com — as well as supporting campaign landing pages and emails. Built primarily on WordPress and integrated with Marketo, these sites and assets are critical to our global marketing efforts.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contractual role.
What You’ll Do...
Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress websites using Bedrock, Sage, and vanilla WordPress
Create and update templates, themes, components, and plugins to support business and marketing needs
Build responsive landing pages in Marketo to support global campaignsWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented code that meets design and accessibility standards
Debug and troubleshoot issues across environments, ensuring fast resolution and minimal downtime
Perform cross-browser and device testing to ensure consistent, high-quality user experiences
Support SEO, performance, and accessibility standards through thoughtful development
Collaborate closely with the Web and Marketing teams and contribute to a smooth delivery process via Git
What You’ll Have...
Proven experience developing and maintaining custom WordPress sites in fast-paced environments
Strong proficiency in:
Frontend: HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript (ES6), jQueryBackend: PHP, MySQL, WordPress Bedrock, SageWorkflow: Git, CLI, NPM, Yarn• Proven ability to debug complex web issues independently and efficientlyFamiliarity with Mac and Windows development environments
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Self-starter with the discipline to manage remote work effectively
