About the Legal Counsel role...
The Legal Counsel position will be based in the UK and report to the Senior Legal Counsel based in Australia, to support the business on a broad range of corporate, commercial and governance matters globally.
What you’ll do...
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements with partners, suppliers, and customers.
Providing commercially focused and pragmatic advice to various departments and stakeholders in the UK and EMEA (partnerships and reseller team, HR, sales etc) on a broad range of matters.
Advising on, and managing, commercial and contractual disputes in the UK, EMEA and AMERS (depending on business needs).
Advising on, and managing, SiteMinder’s real property interests in the UK, EMEA and AMERS (depending on business needs).
Monitoring regulatory developments in the UK, EMEA and AMERS and providing clear, actionable advice to the business.
Providing company secretarial support in various jurisdictions (including UK, EMEA and AMERS, depending on business needs).
What you have…
Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and a current Australian or UK practising certificate.
6+ years PQE at a reputable law firm and/or in-house at a global corporation.Strong understanding of corporate and contracts law.
Must be a self starter with high energy and a proven ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done. You thrive on taking initiative.
You are a team player with a humble attitude and a hunger to make an impact in a role where the sky's the limit.
Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to interact effectively and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the business, along with external
advisors.You are passionate about technology and SaaS businesses with a passion for innovation and emerging digital technology.
Comfortable hitting the ground running in fast paced scale-up environments.
Experience working with AI technologies to increase efficiency in legal operations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Comfortable with working across time zones.
Spanish speaking skills and/or Spanish legal qualification would be a bonus!
