This is a senior, hands-on engineering position focused primarily on frontend development, where you will help shape architecture, drive UI quality, and support the wider engineering team in delivering scalable, maintainable applications.
You will work in a small, focused team environment, contributing to both strategy and execution, with a strong emphasis on modern frontend frameworks, hybrid mobile app development, and the effective use of AI tools in day-to-day engineering work.

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior App & Frontend Developer to take a leading role in the development of modern web and mobile applications.
This is a senior, hands-on engineering position focused primarily on frontend development, where you will help shape architecture, drive UI quality, and support the wider engineering team in delivering scalable, maintainable applications.
You will work in a small, focused team environment, contributing to both strategy and execution, with a strong emphasis on modern frontend frameworks, hybrid mobile app development, and the effective use of AI tools in day-to-day engineering work.
Responsibilities
- Lead frontend and app development across web and mobile platforms
- Design, build, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React and modern frameworks
- Develop hybrid mobile applications using Ionic and Capacitor
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality user experiences
- Define and implement frontend architecture, standards, and best practices
- Ensure responsive, performant, and accessible UI across devices and platforms
- Support and mentor other engineers within the team
- Evaluate and introduce modern frontend technologies and AI tools to improve development efficiency
- Work closely with backend systems to integrate APIs and services
- Drive technical decisions and contribute to project planning and delivery
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in React for building production-grade applications
- 5+ years of experience with Angular (including version 15+) in production environments
- Strong knowledge of CSS frameworks and modern UI development practices
- Experience using AI tools to support software development workflows
- Strong experience with Ionic (7+) and Capacitor for hybrid mobile development
- Proven experience leading frontend development efforts or technical delivery
- Strong understanding of application architecture and UI performance optimisation
- Ability to take ownership of frontend delivery in a small team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working independently while collaborating effectively with small teams
- Strong communication skills and ability to contribute to technical discussions
Nice to Have
- Experience leading frontend architecture in small or mid-sized teams
- Exposure to cross-platform mobile development challenges
- Experience improving frontend performance and scalability in production systems
- Familiarity with modern design systems and UI component libraries
- Experience working in fast-moving, product-focused environments
- Strong interest in AI-assisted development and modern engineering workflows
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers (without formal management responsibility)
