As Senior Delivery Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of fixed-price (FP) engagements — ensuring projects are delivered on scope, on time, and on budget while maintaining the highest standards of client satisfaction. You will serve as the critical bridge between the senior management team, engineering organisation, and PMO — translating business strategy into executable delivery plans and ensuring seamless alignment across all three. Beyond project execution, you will play a key role in transforming how we deliver: driving AI adoption across the SDLC, and streamlining operational processes. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that combines operational excellence with forward-thinking leadership.
- Lead resource planning, allocation, and utilization optimization across the delivery portfolio - ensuring the right people are on the right projects at the right time, and that bench time is minimized and billability targets are met.
- Drive operational efficiency by identifying bottlenecks in the SDLC and leading AI adoption initiatives to accelerate delivery (code generation, automated QA, AI-assisted planning).
- Build and continuously improve delivery frameworks, processes, and governance standards across the organisation.
- Serve as the primary strategic point of contact for C-level client stakeholders — managing expectations, escalations, and long-term relationship development.
- Collaborate with Sales and Pre-sales to scope new FP engagements, assess risk, and define delivery models.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Project Managers and Delivery Leads.
- Define and track portfolio-level KPIs: on-time delivery rate, margin, utilization, client NPS.
- Proactively identify delivery risks across the portfolio and implement mitigation strategies before they escalate.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and client-centricity across delivery teams.
What Success Looks Like:
- 30 days: You have a full picture of the active project portfolio — risks, health, margins, resource allocation, and key client relationships. You have met every C-level client stakeholder and established your cadence with internal delivery leads.
- 90 days: You have identified the top 3 operational bottlenecks in the SDLC and launched at least one AI adoption initiative with measurable impact. Resource utilization rate is tracked and optimized. Portfolio on-time delivery rate is trending upward.
- 12 months: You have built a scalable delivery operating model adopted across all teams. Portfolio margin has improved by 10–15%, utilization targets are consistently met, and at least two AI-driven delivery improvements are in production. You are a trusted strategic partner to your clients and a key contributor to SmartDev's growth.
