Accounting Team Lead

Soar is looking to hire an Accounting Lead to join our team.

Responsibilities:

-Perform or oversee daily accounting activities, including recording all types of company transactions (e.g., journal entries, vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, etc )
,-Manage accounts payable and fixed asset accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies
-Reconcile bank statements with internal records, investigate discrepancies, and maintain financial data integrity
-Update and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial transactions
-Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including preparation of accruals and validation of payables
-Prepare full sets of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/EAS standards
-Monitor compliance with IFRS/EAS and internal control policies across EMMA and APAC regions
-Ensure timely and accurate submission of WHT, VAT, and CIT filings across multiple jurisdictions
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ERP implementation and data migration
-Partner with the Accounting and FP&A Director to support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
-Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline accounting workflows

Core Qualifications & Skills
• Professional Certification: Holder of CPA, CMA, ACCA, or an equivalent recognizedcredential (mandatory).
• Experience & Industry Background: 4.5 –7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with a strong track record in the fintech sector and current or prior experience at a Big Four accounting firm.
• ERP & Automation Mastery: Advanced expertise in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Oracle, or SAP, including system configuration and data migration.
• Data & Analytics Proficiency: Skilled in leveraging Power BI, Alteryx, and advanced Excel to drive financial automation and reporting efficiency.
• Language Fluency: Native Arabic speaker with full professional proficiency in English.
