About the role
This role is for a commercially driven leader with deep experience in influencer and social marketing. Initially operating as a senior individual contributor, you will own the entire new business lifecycle - from prospecting and pitching to closing and onboarding.
You will be accountable for growing revenue, expanding brand presence, and positioning Socially Powerful as a leading influencer and social agency in North America. For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to become the US market lead, shaping strategy, culture, and growth from a regional perspective.
What you'll do
- Own and drive all new business activity across the US and North America
- Identify, target, and secure enterprise-level and high-growth B2C clients
- Develop and execute innovative outbound strategies to access senior decision-makers
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles, including prospecting, pitching, negotiation, and deal closure
- Close high-value, long-term retainer and project-based partnerships
- Represent Socially Powerful confidently in senior-level meetings, pitches, and industry forums
- Deliver influencer marketing masterclasses, strategic workshops, and pitch leadership
- Build and manage a strong CRM pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting
- Track market trends, emerging brands, and new entrants to identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate closely with global strategy, creative, and delivery teams to win and onboard clients
- Recruit, lead, motivate, and scale a US-based new business and commercial team
- Act as a key ambassador for the Socially Powerful brand in the North American market
Qualifications
- Proven background in new business development within influencer, social, or digital marketing, ideally agency-side
- Alternatively, a very senior account-side professional with strong commercial instincts and pitch leadership experience
- Demonstrable track record of winning and closing large, complex deals
- Strong existing network across B2C brands, startups, scale-ups, or enterprise organisations
- Deep understanding of influencer marketing and social-first campaign strategy
- Confident, persuasive presenter, able to lead senior-level pitches and strategic discussions
- Highly self-motivated, resilient, and relentless in the pursuit of new opportunities
- Comfortable working independently in the early stages while building long-term infrastructure
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to build, lead, and scale a market presence
- Passionate about continuous learning, growth, and leadership development
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000, based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This range represents a good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this role.
Work Arrangement
This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence three (3) days per week at our NY office, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be determined by the team.
