The Role

As a Senior Account Director, you will own the strategic leadership, delivery excellence, and commercial success across a portfolio of high-value client accounts. You will lead integrated campaign strategy, drive business growth, and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver world-class influencer and social-first campaigns. 

You will be a trusted senior partner to clients, a mentor to your team, and a key contributor to the agency’s future - overseeing strategic direction, campaign delivery, business growth, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy, Creative & Proposals

  • Lead strategic responses to complex briefs, crafting frameworks that combine market intelligence, audience insights, and business goals.
  • Set the strategic vision for campaigns and proposals, integrating influencer, content, social, and paid media into one cohesive solution.
  • Oversee and sign off on campaign deliverables, ensuring alignment with client objectives and commercial imperatives.
  • Drive ideation and lead strategic workshops, inspiring breakthrough creative and influencer concepts.
  • Own end-to-end pitch processes - interpreting RFPs, shaping narratives, and confidently presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to create compelling RFIs, case studies, and capabilities decks that showcase agency strength.
  • Champion integrated campaign thinking, ensuring strategic cohesion across all channels and touchpoints.

Client & Campaign Delivery

  • Lead the delivery of complex, multi-market influencer and integrated campaigns across your account portfolio.
  • Ensure operational rigour through structured project planning, risk management, and proactive communication.
  • Oversee campaign timelines, budgets, resource plans, and reporting frameworks to ensure delivery excellence and margin protection.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for executive client stakeholders, driving strategic alignment and satisfaction at the highest level.
  • Sign off on key creative and content outputs, ensuring they meet client expectations, brand standards, and campaign KPIs.
  • Collaborate with data and product teams to evolve performance tracking and insights across accounts.

Account Growth & Commercial Management

  • Own strategic relationships across a portfolio of high-value accounts, fostering long-term partnerships and trust.
  • Lead strategic advisory engagements, surfacing new opportunities and positioning the agency as a growth partner.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across social, influencer, paid, and content disciplines.
  • Lead financial planning for your accounts - including scoping, budget forecasting, profitability analysis, and commercial decision-making.
  • Shape and deliver annual account plans that align client goals with agency offerings, driving shared success.
  • Spearhead new business initiatives including workshops, pitch materials, and capability sessions tailored to client needs.

Leadership & People Development

  • Lead and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Coach and develop mid-level managers, supporting their growth into future leaders through structured development plans.
  • Provide actionable, regular feedback to team members, driving learning and professional growth.
  • Represent agency leadership in internal and external meetings, modelling company values and behaviours.

Operational & Delivery Excellence

  • Embed best-in-class operational systems, tools, and processes across your accounts to ensure efficiency, visibility, and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in platforms like HubSpot and shared project systems.
  • Champion knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across campaign and client teams.
  • Govern delivery processes through structured internal and client-facing meetings, ensuring clarity, accountability, and pace.
  • Uphold the highest standards of delivery quality across all outputs—strategy, creative, content, reporting, and communications.
  • Embed time management best practices to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
  • Continuously assess and improve quality processes, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Skills & Experience

  • A senior client leader with 6+ years of experience in a fast-paced creative, influencer, social, or digital agency/in house.
  • Experienced in managing large scale, multi-market, or enterprise-level accounts with strategic complexity and commercial accountability.
  • Experience in upselling + new business development; leading proposal & strategic development.  
  • Skilled in high-stakes strategic thinking, storytelling, and executive client communication.
  • Strong financial management experience - budget management, forecasting, resourcing, and P&L responsibility.
  • A highly client facing role; ability to build strong, credible in-person relationships with clients.
