Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (GCP)
Contract Mid-Senior LevelJob Overview
Project – the aim you’ll have
We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join one of our USA clients, a fast-growing startup tackling climate change by building the next-generation AI platform for heavy industrial manufacturing. The platform ingests streams of time-series data, documents, and operational context from factories, and uses AI agents to guide plant operators toward safer, more efficient decisions that also reduce carbon footprint.
In this role, you’ll partner with Head of Infrastructure and scale cloud environment. You’ll work across GCP, Terraform, security, observability, data pipelines, and core platform reliability. This is a senior IC role for someone with deep experience with Cloud infrastructure (GCP strongly preferred, or AWS with an interest in learning GCP) and strong operational instincts, who knows modern cloud-native infrastructure inside and out and enjoys
wearing many hats in a fast-moving startup, spanning DevOps, SRE, and also a bit of backend & data engineering.
Position – how you’ll contribute
- Designing & maintaining GCP infrastructure (GKE, Bigtable, BigQuery, GCS, networking).
- Building monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability from the ground up.
- Creating zero-downtime release infrastructure and processes.
- Improving our security posture across auth, IAM, policies, and data access.
- Evaluating and implementing solutions to simplify and scale data ingestion (ETL/ELT) using technologies like DataBricks, Airflow, etc.
- Partnering with backend, AI, and FE teams to deliver reliable, secure systems end-to-end.
