We’re expanding and currently looking for an Engineering Automation Intern (m/f/d) to join our team in Hamburg, Germany.

We are seeking an enthusiastic intern to explore and implement automation solutions within our design office. The role focuses on identifying opportunities to streamline processes in configuration management and mechanical engineering, and developing practical tools or workflows to improve efficiency.

Your main tasks will be:

    • Analyze current processes and workflows to identify automation opportunities
    • Propose innovative solutions to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
    • Develop, test, and validate automation tools or scripts
    • Document solutions and provide training or guidelines for implementation
    • Collaborate with engineers and configuration managers to ensure solutions meet operational needs

Requirements

Desired Profile:

  • Currently pursuing an engineering degree (mechanical or systems engineering)
  • Familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBA, or similar)
  • Initial experience in automation and artificial intelligence
  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and configuration management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical teams
  • Available 2 - 3 days per week in our Hamburg office (100% onsite)
