As an A&R Manager, you will identify, sign, and develop artists while supporting the creative and commercial strategy of the label. You will work closely with A&R leadership, Research, Marketing, Digital, and A&R Administration to guide projects from initial scouting through recording, release execution, and long-term artist growth. This role requires strong creative instincts, exceptional relationship skills, and a deep understanding of the contemporary music landscape.

What you'll do:

  • Identify and evaluate emerging talent using Research tools, streaming and social analytics, industry relationships, and live music environments.

  • Build and present internal A&R signing cases with clear creative direction and market rationale.

  • Lead day-to-day creative development for assigned artists, including songwriting, production, repertoire strategy, and session management.

  • Partner closely with A&R Administration & Operations to manage budgets, recording timelines, deliverables, and contractual requirements.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Digital, Audience & Insights, International, PR, and Commercial teams to align creative strategy with release plans.

  • Facilitate pitch meetings, listening sessions, and internal touchpoints with potential signings and developing acts.

  • Maintain strong industry relationships with producers, writers, managers, attorneys, publishers, promoters, and tastemakers.

  • Represent the label at shows, showcases, festivals, writing camps, and other industry events.

  • Manage internal organization of demos, recordings, assets, metadata, and project documentation.

  • Provide ongoing updates to A&R leadership on artist development, market trends, and competitive activity.

 

Who you are:

  • Passionate about discovering new music and developing artists.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across creative and business teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify commercially viable talent across genres.

  • Experienced working directly with artists and management; understanding of creative process and artist dynamics.

  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills; able to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledgeable about streaming consumption, digital music platforms, analytics, and social media trends.

  • Solutions-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and within a team.

The anticipated annual base salary does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
