Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor cloud infrastructure, servers, racks, server rooms, and networks using enterprise monitoring tools (24/7).
- Perform first-level investigation and troubleshooting of alerts and incidents.
- Escalate issues to L2/L3 or vendor teams when required.
- Provide customer support by handling and assisting with configuration change requests, resolving incidents within your scope of access, and escalating out-of-scope issues to L2/L3 teams.
- Track, log, and document incidents in the ticketing system.
- Ensure incidents are handled within defined SLAs.
- Support routine maintenance, patching, and updates in coordination with senior engineers.
- Provide proactive communication to internal teams and customers during incidents.
- Generate reports on cloud system health, incidents, and uptime.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related IT field.
- 0–2 years of experience in NOC operations, with exposure to multiple hardware platforms and operating systems.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (CCNA level) – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, etc.
- Good knowledge of Linux and Windows server fundamentals.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, types, and solutions.
- Understanding of systems design and architecture principles.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in both English & Arabic (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment (including shifts and on-call).
- Self-motivated and proactive.
