Technical Presales Engineer
Job Overview
Job Purpose:
The Senior Technical Pre-Sales Engineer collaborates closely with the sales and product teams, engaging with prospective and existing clients from the initial lead stage through to the successful closure of opportunities. This role is responsible for comprehensively understanding client requirements, performing detailed technical analyses, designing customized solutions, and ensuring that proposed solutions are both technically feasible and aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
The Senior Technical Pre-Sales Engineer leverages advanced technical and business acumen to design solutions that meet customer requirements through the effective use of existing products and reusable components, delivering comprehensive and value-driven offerings. The position also entails maintaining up-to-date knowledge of product enhancements and innovations, while working in close coordination with the team to validate that all proposed solutions are fully aligned with product architecture, technical frameworks, and organizational standards.
Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:
· Collaborate with the sales team to qualify opportunities and understand client requirements, challenges, and objectives
· Attend meetings with potential clients to gather, analyze, and document both technical and business requirements.
· Build, configure, and customize demonstration environments to showcase solutions tailored to specific client needs.
· Create professional and visually appealing pre-sales materials, such as presentations, product descriptions, and architecture overviews
· Collaborate with partners to deliver integrated, seamless solutions that provide the best possible user experience.
· Conduct detailed technical analyses to design tailored, scalable solutions that align with customer needs and institutional goals.
· Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, including clear scope definitions, architecture diagrams, and solution designs while ensuring feasibility, performance, and agreed delivery timeframes.
· Provide hardware sizing, high-level solution architectures and system integration that clearly illustrate the proposed technical approach
· Prepare financial and cost proposals for the proposed solutions, providing clear estimates and justifications to support decision-making.
· Stay continuously updated on product enhancements, new releases, and emerging technologies in the EdTech sector
· Work closely with the team to ensure that all proposed solutions are aligned with product architecture, technical standards, and organizational frameworks.
· Ensure a smooth handover from pre-sales to post-sales and implementation teams by providing comprehensive documentation and technical guidance.
Requirements
Educational Qualification:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Professional Certifications: (Good to have)
· Cloud Solutions Architect (AWS, Azure, or Google)
· Enterprise architecture and solution (TOGAF)
· Experience with system integration frameworks
Experience:
· +5 Years overall experience
· + 3 Years of presales experience
· Extensive Technical Solution Architecture & Design
