Senior Project Manager - Data Hub & Integration (Databricks/Azure)

Overview:

We’re seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a strong background in enterprise-level data warehousing and data integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing the implementation of data hubs, with a preference for projects involving Databricks and Microsoft Azure. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead cross-functional teams, manage complex timelines, and deliver scalable data solutions that support business intelligence and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end project management for data hub implementations, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.

Oversee data integration efforts across multiple systems and platforms, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.

Manage stakeholder communications, project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business analysts to ensure successful delivery of data warehousing solutions.

Drive adoption and optimization of Databricks within the data ecosystem.

Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.

Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in project management, specifically in data warehousing and data integration projects.
• Proven experience implementing data hubs or centralized data platforms.
• Strong familiarity with Databricks and Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory).
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and cloud architecture.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
• Background in enterprise analytics or BI platforms.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools.
