Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Geospatial Projects Manager will lead and coordinate enterprise-level GIS initiatives across multiple state agencies. This role involves managing the implementation and maintenance of Esri GIS server software and desktop applications, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of geospatial services.

The individual will serve as a liaison between the DTMB Geospatial Services team, state agencies, vendors, and subject matter experts, driving collaboration and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee GIS projects involving enterprise solutions, multi-agency collaboration, and system upgrades.
  • Lead the deployment, upgrade, and integration of Esri GIS software, including establishing project timelines and resource allocation.
  • Gather requirements and priorities from state agency GIS stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to project teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Manage operational tasks for enterprise geospatial services, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Bring a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in GIS with hands-on experience using Esri GIS software.
  • Bring a minimum of 3 years of experience managing geospatial projects and implementations.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including hands-on experience with Esri GIS software.
