References to KKR’s investments may include the activities of its sponsored funds and insurance subsidiaries.
TEAM OVERVIEW
The Client and Product Services (CAPS) team supports KKR's global distribution and client retention efforts by delivering high-quality, timely, and strategically positioned responses to client information requests — including RFIs, DDQs, RFPs, and ongoing monitoring deliverables. CAPS partners closely with investment, product, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with firm messaging across KKR's global platform. Within CAPS, the Credit vertical supports KKR's private and public credit franchise — including direct lending, leveraged credit, asset-based finance, and strategic investments — working hand-in-hand with the Credit investment and product strategy teams to represent the platform to institutional clients globally.
POSITION SUMMARY
KKR is seeking an experienced investment professional to lead the CAPS Credit function. This is a senior role combining hands-on execution of the most complex Credit client deliverables with leadership of the team responsible for RFIs, DDQs, RFPs, and ongoing monitoring across KKR's Credit strategies. The Lead will act as the day-to-day owner of Credit CAPS output managing teams in both Dublin and New York, partnering closely with the Global Head of CAPS, Credit Product Strategy, and investment teams to ensure every response is accurate, consistent, on-message, and delivered on time. Beyond execution, the Lead will drive the quality bar, coach and develop the team, own key stakeholder relationships, and lead initiatives that scale the function — including content governance, template optimization, and adoption of AI-enabled productivity tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Credit Client Monitoring & Execution: Lead end-to-end execution and delivery of complex Credit client deliverables (RFIs, DDQs, RFPs, and ad-hoc inquiries) across KKR's private and public credit strategies. Personally own the most sensitive, senior, or strategically important responses.
- Subject-Matter Expertise – Credit: Serve as a senior resource on KKR's Credit platform — investment strategy, product structure, portfolio construction, performance, and firm-level content — enabling the team to respond with accuracy and conviction.
- Quality & Content Governance: Review and quality-check team deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with approved disclosures and firm positioning. Proactively identify risks, gaps, or inconsistencies in Credit responses and escalate or resolve as appropriate.
- Team Leadership: Lead the CAPS Credit team in both Dublin and New York as day-to-day representative for the Global Head of CAPS. Own workflow coordination, prioritization, capacity planning, and delivery standards. Provide coaching, mentorship, and feedback; foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture; and support onboarding and training of new team members.
- Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Build and maintain strong working relationships with Credit Product Strategy, Credit investment teams, and cross-functional partners (Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Client Solutions). Represent the CAPS Credit team in regional and global forums on workflow, resourcing, and delivery standards.
- Escalation & Judgement: Serve as the primary point of escalation for the team on Credit content questions, prioritization trade-offs, and stakeholder engagement. Make sound judgement calls balancing execution urgency with oversight and quality.
- Process Improvement & Strategic Contribution: Drive initiatives to enhance scalability, efficiency, and quality of Credit client monitoring — including template optimization, content management library development, and adoption of AI-enabled productivity tools. Identify and standardize best practices across the team to support consistent global delivery.
- Leadership Communication: Communicate clearly and proactively with senior leadership on capacity, risks, timelines, and process improvement opportunities within the Credit CAPS function.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 10+ years in asset management or financial services, with significant experience managing RFIs, DDQs, RFPs, or client reporting deliverables — ideally with meaningful exposure to Credit (private credit, direct lending, leveraged credit, asset-based finance, or public credit).
- Leadership Experience: Prior people leadership or team lead experience, with a demonstrated collaborative and supportive leadership style; track record of coaching and developing talent.
- Execution & Judgement: Proven ability to independently manage complex, senior-level client deliverables, make sound judgement calls, and balance hands-on execution with oversight responsibilities.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to engage and influence senior internal stakeholders across investment, product, and control functions in a global matrix environment.
- Organizational & Quality Focus: Exceptional attention to detail, organizational discipline, and commitment to high-quality output in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong experience with proposal management systems, content databases, and AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex Credit investment concepts into clear, client-ready responses.
- Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of alternative investments, with particular strength in private and public credit; broader familiarity with private equity, real estate, and infrastructure a plus.
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS
- Credit product fluency – can speak with authority on KKR's Credit strategies, portfolio construction, and investment process, and translate that into client-ready content.
- Ownership and judgement – takes responsibility for the quality of every response leaving the team; knows when to escalate and when to decide.
- Coaching leadership – develops the team through direct, useful feedback and structured knowledge transfer, not just task allocation.
- Stakeholder influence – builds durable, credible relationships with investment, product, and control-function partners across regions.
- Operational excellence – relentless about accuracy, consistency, and on-time delivery under pressure.
- Change and process leadership – identifies scaling opportunities and lands improvements in content governance, templates, and tooling.
- Global mindset – comfortable operating across time zones and cultures, and representing Dublin in global forums.
- Curiosity and continuous learning – tracks the evolving Credit landscape, client expectations, and productivity tools (including AI) and applies them to lift the function.
