Specialist, Derivatives Clearing

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Specialist, Derivatives Clearing to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimising our derivatives clearing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigating risks associated with derivative transactions.

• Execute and monitor daily clearing and settlement processes for various derivative products
• Analyse and resolve clearing-related issues, ensuring timely and accurate settlement
• Perform risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies for derivative positions
• Liaise with clearing houses, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to manage clearing relationships
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements (e.g., EMIR, Dodd-Frank)
• Develop and maintain documentation for clearing processes and procedures
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of clearing systems and workflows
• Prepare and analyse reports on clearing activities, risk exposures, and performance metrics
• Stay abreast of market trends and regulatory changes affecting derivatives clearing
