The Account Executive serves as a key member of the sales team, focused on driving revenue, building, and maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting the mission to conserve water statewide. This role includes leading proposal development, managing projects post-sale, and contributing to team success. The Account Executive is also expected to help build the case for continued team growth through strong performance and alignment with the company’s core values and reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Meet and exceed individual sales targets (HVAC maintenance and pipelining contracts.)
• Build and manage client relationships with property managers, property owners, engineers, municipalities, contractors, and vendors.
• Generate, present, and revise proposals to meet client needs.
• Perform and/or follow ups on all stormwater requests for inspections. Follows up on quality and completions for all stormwater inspections.
• Determine HOA HVAC and pipelining scope of work, assign pricing, and follow up on all proposals for project management.
• Participate in trade shows, lunch-n-learns, board meetings, and site visits to support business development. Must be engaged in building and developing relationships with customers.
• Maintain accurate Pipedrive entries for all customer interactions and project statuses. This includes performing and utilizing all assigned activities. Make sure all entries are accurate and filled out properly.
• Report to Internal Operations Manager to ensure reporting and document filing (e.g., SharePoint, PipeDrive) is accurate.
• Provide input during team strategy sessions and sales meetings.
• Support internal communication and information flow across departments.
• Utilize and collaborate sales team resources for assistance.
• Decide which HOA projects to bid and pursue, based on viability and alignment with strategy.
• Determine site inspection and visit schedules, scheduling precon meetings, and client meeting priorities.
• Handle inspector communications and finalize scope of work independently.
• Help expand customer base through relationship-building and follow-up efforts.
• Support continuous improvement of internal sales processes and team collaboration.
• Company work unless in the field is to be performed solely in the office and conducted with 100% effort and attention.
• Sales efforts are to be limited when involved with socializing/networking events. The objective of sales efforts are to gain leads for additional work and proposals.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Associate’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of experience in a sales, account management, or business development role, ideally within HVAC, construction, environmental services, or property management sectors.
• Experience working with HOAs, municipalities, property managers, and engineering firms strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of developing and closing proposals, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
• Project management experience required, particularly with construction, HVAC maintenance, or pipelining projects.
• Familiarity with CRM tools (PipeDrive or similar) and proficiency in using software for tracking and reporting.
• Knowledge of stormwater systems, HVAC systems, or construction practices is a plus.
• Experience coordinating with operations teams and contractors for successful project execution.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: starting at $70,000.00 per year with incentive plan DOE
